Yasumicon 2008//MiamiDEKO is now open

Celebrating our 6th year, Yasumicon is proud to announce its dates: August 1-3rd. You may think you're seeing things, however we wanted to move to doing more days of fun. Our first day is really a night time starter, featuring our 50's themed diner as well as pre registration! Why pre register for a free convention? You'll have a chance to win V.I.P. passes. We're going with a Miami theme for this year's Yasumicon, celebrating our home town and our love for anime!

Yasumicon and Death Note live action.

Yasumicon is proud to announce the showing of Death Note, the live action movie based on the hit manga and anime series. We'll be promoting at Regal Cinemas Palace 18 located at 11865 sw 26 st Miami, FL 33175. Come see this movie as you've never seen it before! On the big screen! We'll also be taking the opportunity of announcing a Yasumicon First! Death Note Murder Mystery Theater sponsored by Meazu Crew, an interactive theater experience based on Death Note! Ticket sales for the dinner theater will be available at this event.

Yasumicon hosts COSPLAY COLISEUM

Yasumicon, Miami's free convention is now hosting a Cosplay Sword Fighting tournament. A Cash tournament means that the winner walks away with cash and the title of Yasumicon's Champion for 2008!

Considering that Yasumicon is months away, I wanted to have some fun and make a small little gettogether for some of the cosplayers that go to our event. I've noticed that Cosplayers don't get together often, I figured what the heck.
