Celebrating our 6th year, Yasumicon is proud to announce its dates: August 1-3rd. You may think you're seeing things, however we wanted to move to doing more days of fun. Our first day is really a night time starter, featuring our diner as well as pre registration! Why pre register for a free convention? You'll have a chance to win V.I.P. passes. We're going with a Miami theme for this year's Yasumicon, celebrating our home town and our love for anime!
We hope to have fun and we'll see you next year!

Yasumicon is proud to announce Brandon Potter to Yasumicon 2008! Brandon, an ADR Director is known for his role in Aquarion (Gen Fudou), Black Cat (Sven Volifield), and One Piece as Shanks. He will use his boyish charms, stellar karate skills and silent but deadly smile to answer your question about his various roles and Voice Acting career!

ARMCANNON, a band from Buffalo NY, shall come and overtake all with mighty face melting powers. You will stare in awe of their magnificence! You dare question their rock? You do not believe their might!? You fools! Then observe their mastery of rock at their various sites!

Benjamin Bear, nerdcore phenomenon from Key West, has been creating nerdcore hiphop since 03 and will be laying out the mad lines our way for our event! Wanna learn more? Check his myspace out!
Continuing the Combo Chain, Benjamin Bear and Jaylyn Coffin combine to create: HOT JUPITER! This dynamic duo will blow your mind with Nerdcore power!
Aaron Pabone, anime comedian and our official host for Yasumicon 2008 will be giving us his standup routine for our event! Laugh until you lose your gut as our resident comedian gives you anime stand up at its finest!Anime Theater Feature:

Yasumicon Artist Alley Update
Yasumicon 2008 Artist Alley tables have officially sold out. We are however accepting entries for our wait list. Artist Alley clients who have accepted the complete package, should send three examples of their work, so that we can start to showcase the pieces on our site. Interested in the waitlist? Yasumicon Room Rates for 2008!
Looking to make your reservations for Yasumicon 2008? Well wait no further. Comfort Suites, our offical hotel of choice for 2008 is offering a room rate of 99.95 a night! It's the cheapest rate around and rather close by. Our Reservation code is 4810.
Yasumicon Maid Cafe has finished taking applications.
Yasumicon would like to thank all the people who applied for various positions in our maid cafe. If you've sent an email of interest, you should be receiving an email shortly. If you were looking to help, but didn't get a chance to apply, don't fret. We're looking for able bodied volunteers for Yasumicon 2008.

Yasumicon is proud to announce the showing of Death Note, the live action movie based on the hit manga and anime series. We'll be promoting at Regal Cinemas Palace 18 located at 11865 sw 26 st Miami, FL 33175. Come see this movie as you've never seen it before! On the big screen! We'll also be taking the opportunity of announcing a Yasumicon First! Death Note Murder Mystery Dinner! Ticket sales for the dinner theater will be available at this event.

Yasumicon hosts COSPLAY COLISEUM
Yasumicon, Miami's free convention is now hosting a Cosplay Sword Fighting tournament. A Cash tournament means that the winner walks away with cash and the title of Yasumicon's Champion for 2008!

Considering that Yasumicon is months away, I wanted to have some fun and make a small little gettogether for some of the cosplayers that go to our event. I've noticed that Cosplayers don't get together often, I figured what the heck.
