Making my own AMV

I have a song that would be perfect for an AMV but dont know where to start or how to make one. What can I do to get started?

I generally study the words and get the feel for the beat. Pull in some episodes/clips and make sure to bring one that will go good with the words. Then I go through the episodes and pull out good bits that would go well. then start placing them according to the music. As you go on fill in and look for those perfect scenes! Make sure to go with both lyrics and the beat of the song. Also find the best cleanest (no subtitles etc) highest resolution you can find.
